📣 As part of the continuous enhancements at Lumosity, we’re excited to introduce Zen Mode—a new way to play that’s all about stress-free brain training.
Zen Mode lets you enjoy your favorite games without affecting your core performance metrics. Whether you want to warm up before your workout or just play for fun, Zen Mode is your space to practice, relax, and focus.
Why use Zen Mode?
Sometimes you just want to play—no scores, no stats, no worries. Zen Mode lets you:
- Practice games as much as you’d like (Premium members)
- Keep your brain active without impacting your LPI (Lumosity Performance Index)
- Continue your daily streaks and earn badges
- Stay in the flow—even when you're not in the mood for a full workout
How can I play in Zen Mode?
You’ll see a “Play in Zen Mode” option:
i) Before starting a game from the Games screen
ii) While browsing games outside of your daily workout
Note: Zen Mode is not available in Workouts or Challenges just yet. Stay tuned!
How can I exit Zen Mode?
i) Once you have completed a game in Zen Mode you will see a message saying so
ii) If you wish to play the game again you shall see options to either Play Again (continue in Zen Mode) or Play Again in Normal Mode at the bottom of your screen. Select as required.
iii) If you wish to exit the current game and play a different game altogether; you would see the option to choose between Normal Mode and Zen Mode.

A few things to note:
- Zen Mode becomes available after you’ve played at least 50 total games on your account - Free or subscribed.
- Your Zen Mode sessions are tracked separately and clearly marked, so you always know what counts.
- If you're curious about your LPI or insights, remember that only regular gameplay contributes to those.
Pro Tip:
Zen Mode is perfect for trying out new games or revisiting old favorites without the pressure of performing. Give it a go the next time you want a no-strings-attached brain break!
