Not getting your usual nudge to train today? Let’s sort that out. Lumosity sends two types of reminders, and they’re managed in different places, so here’s how to check both:
Training Reminder Emails
These can only be configured from the Lumosity website. If you’re expecting reminder emails and not getting them, follow these steps:
Make sure they’re turned ON:
- Log in on the Lumosity Website.
- Click your name (top-right corner) and go to Settings
- Scroll down to Email Notifications > Training Reminders > Edit
- Toggle switch to ON and configure the time & day of week fields to your preferences.
Note: When the switch is Orange, it indicates ON and if it’s Grey, it's OFF.
Troubleshooting steps if email reminders are not received
Search for the subject line: Your Daily Training Reminder in Spam, Promotions, or Other folders
- If you find any email there, mark as Not Spam or move it to your inbox
- Make sure your email address is spelled correctly in Settings > Personal Info
- Recently unsubscribed from any Lumosity emails? That may have paused all communications—including reminders. You can opt back in via your Email Preferences
- Using a work or school email? Sometimes those block automated emails. A personal email (like Gmail or Outlook) usually works best
In-App Notifications
These are push notifications sent from the Lumosity mobile app, not email.
Check if they’re turned ON:
- Open the Lumosity app and head over to Stats or Insights
- Tap the Gear icon ⚙️
- Under Training Reminders toggle the switch to: ON and configure the time & day of week fields to your preferences.
- Tap on the X icon in the top-right to Save & return to Settings
Note: When the switch is Orange, it indicates ON and if it’s Grey, it's OFF.
Tips to ensure app notifications are shown on time:
📣 Ensure Lumosity notifications are allowed on your device:
On iPhone/iPad:
- Open Settings > Notifications
- Scroll down and tap Lumosity
- Make sure Allow Notifications is turned ON
- Optional: Enable your preferred styles: Lock Screen, Notification Center, and Banners
On Android:
- Open Settings > Apps or Apps & Notifications
- Tap Lumosity > Notifications
- Make sure all notification types are toggled ON
🌙 Is Do Not Disturb / Focus Mode blocking reminders?
These features can silence Lumosity notifications. Allow Lumosity to send you training reminders despite Focus Mode/ Do Not Disturb remaining active.
iPhone/iPad:
- Open Settings > Focus > Select whichever is in-use on your device. Example: Do not Disturb
- Tap Apps under Allowed Notifications
- Tap Add App, then select Lumosity
Android (Do Not Disturb):
- Open Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb
- Tap Apps > Add Apps or Allowed Apps
- Select Lumosity to let notifications through
