Game Instructions
Organic Order exercises your logical reasoning. Your goal is to follow a set of given rules when planting seeds in a garden. Fruit and vegetable seed packets appear on a shelf. These packets can be dragged to numbered spot in the garden. Click (or tap) the Submit button after arranging all the seeds in the proper order to confirm your answer.
Some rounds feature already-planted seeds. Those seed packets cannot be moved as theyâre locked into their place. Seeds planted already have a brown border around them.
When a rule states that one seed packet must be to the left of another, it doesnât mean that the seed packet must be to the immediate left. You can place the seed packet in any spot thatâs to the left of that other seed packet.
Some of the rules have 2 parts. These rules are known as âIf, thenâ statements. Organize the seed packets so that the statements are correct. Some of the statements beginning with "If" may not be possible, though. You need to arrange the seed packets in a specific order to make the âIfâ rule unnecessary. Make sure you place the seed packets in an order that makes the first part of the rule untrue. That way, the second part of the statement doesnât actually need to be followed.
For example, "If Carrot is in position 2, then Corn must be in position 3." Corn must be in position 3 only if Carrot is in position 2.
Another way to look at this problem is if Carrot is not in position 2, then Corn isnât required to be in position 3. You could place Carrot in Position 1 and Corn in position 5 and the statement would still be true!
"If, then" statements use a type of logic called contra position. Hereâs another example of contraposition outside of Organic Order:
The proposition "All dogs are mammals" can be restated as the conditional "If something is a dog, then it is a mammal". Now, the law says that statement is identical to the contrapositive "If something is not a mammal, then it is not a dog".
If no seed positioning is possible without breaking a rule, then you will want to press the button marked Impossible.

Scoring & Levels
Your score in Organic Order is dependent upon the level at which youâre currently playing.
Your level adjusts based both on correct answers and the speed at which you submit answers. Time passing is indicated by the light slowly fading in the background. Your level decreases for incorrect answers and wonât increase at all if you answer slowly.
